On Friday afternoon, 13 Oct. 2017, youths threw stones at soldiers in the Bab a-Zawiya area in the center of Hebron. The soldiers fired rubber-coated metal bullets and stun grenades and violently detained 18 youths, most of them minors. Soldiers routinely enter Hebron, disrupting residents’ lives and arresting youths. Jamal Abu S’ifan and ‘Imad Abu Shamsiyeh, both Hebron residents, captured on video the arrest of some of the boys and their detention at the checkpoint.   The Palestinian Authority is thwarting the activities of a real estate company after its owner publicly criticized Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Seven weeks ago, the Palestinian Land Authority suspended the processing of a project for registering and parceling private land purchased by the Palestinian-Canadian Sabawi family. In parte mi dichiaro colpevole. Quando ho iniziato a descrivere i miglioramenti, mi sono subito reso conto che le migliaia di strane parole utilizzate  non sarebbero state sufficienti per osservazioni analitiche e critiche riguardanti l'intero sistema dei checkpoint. Alcuni direbbero che questo è un problema che affligge qualsiasi scrittore : la necessità di tralasciare i dettagli a causa delle restrizioni di spazio. Direi che il problema è principalmente nostro, scrittori e giornalisti che lavorano al di fuori del mainstream e dell'agenda dettata  dall'esercito .
