This morning, Givati soldiers shot and killed Mohammed Mussa, 26, when he was riding in his car near Nabi Saleh. They also shot his sister Latifa who was in the car.
Israeli news sites reported this as an attempted terrorist attack, and of course Mussa was defined as a terrorist.

However, it is already clear that this is a lie. According to the
testimonies, the soldiers themselves contended that they had fired on
the car because it was being driven in a suspicious manner. The standing
orders say that such behaviour is not supposed to lead to the shooting
in order to kill. The way Mussa was hit and the shoulder injury to his
sister suggest that did was the nature of the shooting.
In addition, photos form the scene show that the shooting was carried out from behind, and Mussa was hit in the back, which also refutes the lie it was possibly a life-threatening situation. According to the sister's testimony, the soldiers did not even warn them before the shooting.
The IDF has launched an Internal Military Police investigation, but as in dozens of other cases of killing innocent people, it is clear that this time too, the culprits will gain immunity.
