Troppo per le “Cronache islamiche – informazione islamica”,
che dalla pagina facebook l’ha attaccata e bollata come apostata. Le
reazioni e la solidarietà arrivano soprattutto dalla comunità islamica e
anche dal suo partito. E lei su Facebook replica: "Calma e sangue
freddo. Mi hanno dato dell'apostata e allora? Grazie per la solidarietà,
son tranquilla e non mi ferma nessuno".
A prendere per primo le sue difese è il segretario Pd milanese Pietro Bussolati:
«Abbiamo controllato con la Digos e purtroppo non è un falso ma una
cosa reale. Il fatto che una donna venga candidata ed eletta dà
sicuramente fastidio agli estremismi. Tutto il partito esprime
solidarietà a Sumaya che è una ragazza solida e in gamba e
l’iniziativa della pedalata per rispondere all’Imam della moschea di Segrate lo dimostra

Una cosa è certa: Milano è vicina a Londra che ha appena eletto un
sindaco musulmano e molto lontana dalle reunion leghiste di Pontida, lo
dimostra anche la scelta dei nomi candidati a Palazzo Marino che
esprimono ambizione, modernità e multiculturalismo».
Anche David Gentili, presidente della Commissione
antimafia del Consiglio comunale di Milano dice la sua sul nome della
37enne, figlia di immigrati giordano-palestinesi: «Conosco Sumaya, è
sempre stata vicino al nostro partito, collabora da parecchio tempo, la
sua candidatura è stato un naturale continuum con la sua militanza
politica. Oggi, dopo questo vile attacco, la sua candidatura è ancora più importante per marcare la differenza tra cittadini pieni e consapevoli e invece essere sudditi di una religione e di un integralismo fermo al Medioevo».

Pd, punta invece il dito contro il candidato del centrodestra: «Si è
creato un brutto clima intorno a Sumaya anche per le dichiarazioni fuori
luogo di Stefano Parisi che l’ha accusata di far parte dei Fratelli
musulmani. Accuse poi smentite, ma è chiaro che bisogna stare attenti.
Con orgoglio vedo però i nomi in lista di lei e di un’altra musulmana,
Maryan Ismail, somala e laica mentre dall’altra parte sono ancora fermi
ad uno che
