Il fotografo  Oren Ziv, delle Activestills collettivo , è stato arrestato dalla polizia di frontiera mentre documentava  gli scontri  che stavano avvenendo a  Gerusalemme . La destra  israeliana  marciava  nei  quartieri palestinesi della città, scandendo slogan razzisti e nazionalisti. Ziv è stato arrestato  per aver fotografato  il violento arresto di un fotografo palestinese

The following are facts and figures on East Jerusalem’s Palestinian population ahead of “Jerusalem Day,” released by The Association for Civil Rights in Israel.
1. Some 90,000 Palestinian Jerusalem residents (with Israeli IDs) live on the other side of the separation wall.
2. Last year, Israel revoked the residency of 116 East Jerusalem Palestinians, a total of 14,263 since 1967.
3. Due to massive classroom shortages, only 46 percent of East Jerusalem Palestinian students study in municipal schools. The drop out rate is 40 percent.
4. Nearly 80 percent of East Jerusalem Palestinians live below the poverty line. For children, it’s 85 percent.
5. Palestinians comprise 39 percent of Jerusalem’s population, but East Jerusalem has only three welfare offices, compared to 18 in West Jerusalem.
