Due civili palestinesi sono morti e altri cinque sono rimasti feriti nei raid aerei israeliani di ieri su Gaza.
Dopo il razzo Qassam lanciato contro Israele, gli F16 hanno bombardato tre zone della Striscia. Colpiti tre tunnel utilizzati per il contrabbando: uno a Khan Younes, al confine con l'Egitto, gli altri due a Rafah. 2AZA CITY (Ma'an) -- Gaza medics have retrieved the body of a second Palestinian killed when Israel's air force struck the southern Strip overnight, officials said Sunday morning.
Gaza medical services spokesman Adham Abu Silmiyya said the body of 19-year-old Khalil Muhammad Al-Hattab from Al-Bureij refugee camp was found in the tunnel area in Rafah. One person is still missing, he added.
Earlier, Abu Slimiyya said the body of 35-year-old Khalid Abdul-Karim Al-Khatib from the Bureij refugee camp was evacuated from the site of the air raids and transferred to the Abu Yousef An-Najjar Hospital in Rafah.
A Gaza Health Ministry spokesman said three injured people also arrived at Abu Yousef An-Najjar and the An-Nasser hospitals shortly after the airstrikes on tunnels in the As-Salam neighborhood of Rafah and the nearby Khan Younis area. The airstrikes targeted three areas in total, medics and security officials said.
The Israeli military confirmed carrying out the air raids and said they came in retaliation for projectile fire that targeted southern Israel's Negev Regional Council hours earlier, which caused no reported damage or injury.
An army statement said the targets included "a tunnel designed for the infiltration of terrorists into Israel in order to carry out terror attacks against soldiers and civilians," adding that the operation also came in response to "shooting attacks in Judea and Samaria last week which killed four Israelis and wounded two others
