Breaking the Silence : denunciati dall'estrema destra israeliana perchè svelano il volto dell'occupazione e della guerra di Gaza del 2014

Ad Kan è un'organizzazione pro-occupazione di destra e sono anni che fa tutto il possibile per silenziare chi ha il coraggio di menzionare l'occupazione o di parlare dei diritti umani. per i Palestinesi Ancora una volta (per la seconda volta in due mesi), c'è una causa di diffamazione contro di noi .

Quest'ultima causa è basata su tre testimonianze che abbiamo pubblicato, all'indomani dell'operazione militare 2014 a Gaza , nel nostro libretto ′′′ This is How Hought in Gaza′ sull'uccisione di un anziano innocente . La loro affermazione è che le testimonianze si contraddicono.

Semmai, le testimonianze date separatamente da tre soldati che, naturalmente, hanno visto ciascuno gli eventi da punti di vista diversi ,rinforzano e dimostrano che l'incidente è avvenuto davvero.

La cosa incredibile è che ,apparentemente , i membri di questa organizzazione non hanno niente da dire sull'uccisione di un anziano innocente . Questo è un dato di fatto che nessuno sta contestando.

Naturalmente, i dettagli contano, ed è per questo che facciamo sforzi incredibili per verificare le nostre fonti e seguire la diffusione delle nostre pubblicazioni .

Le affermazioni di Ad Kan, invece, sono ovunque. La loro argomentazione è un classico fuoco di paglia. Affermano che abbiamo sostenuto che i soldati dell'IDF hanno seppellito vivo un palestinese, mentre i soldati che hanno intervistato lo negano . Nessuno ha mai detto che l'uomo è stato sepolto vivo. Bastava leggere le testimonianze che abbiamo pubblicato per intero per sapere ciò . Sostengono anche che il filmato GoPro dell'incidente smentisce le nostre testimonianze. Il video - che noi stessi abbiamo usato durante la ricerca dell'incidente - mostra solo un segmento degli eventi, non smentisce quanto i soldati hanno testimoniato. Rafforza invece l'atmosfera di paura e tensione descritta nelle nostre testimonianze.

Ad Kan e i loro sostenitori di destra (inclusi politici molto influenti) stanno usando queste e altre assurde affermazioni per trasformare i gruppi per i diritti umani in capri espiatori per la recente decisione della CPI di indagare su Israele. Ad Kan ci ha denunciato più volte in passato. Le loro affermazioni mendaci sono state rigettate a tutti i livelli del sistema giudiziario israeliano, compresa la Corte Suprema. E come se non bastasse, questa è la stessa organizzazione che è stata beccata a fabbricare ′′ prove ′′ di molestie sessuali nel tentativo di segregare le linee di autobus nei territori occupati (vedi articolo nei commenti).

La più grande minaccia per l'area pro-occupazione è l'opposizione di chi l'ha vista e sperimentata , da qui i continui attacchi della destra, ma nessuno dei suoi tentativi riuscirà. Perché finché esiste l'occupazione, ci saranno persone che si esprimeranno contro di essa.

 

Ad Kan is a right wing pro-occupation organization that has spent years doing everything in its power to silence those who dare to mention the occupation or talk about human rights.

Yet again (for the second time in two months), they're behind a defamation suit being brought against us.

This latest libel suit against us is based on three testimonies which we published in the aftermath of the 2014 military operation in Gaza in our booklet 'This is How We Fought in Gaza', on the shooting of an elderly man. Their claim is that the testimonies contradict each other.

If anything, the testimonies — which were given by three separate soldiers who, naturally, each saw the events from a different angle and point of view — reinforce one another and prove that the incident did indeed take place.

What's amazing is that they seemingly have nothing to say about the big story here:

***An innocent elderly man was killed.***

And that's a fact no one is disputing.

Of course, details matter, and that's why we hold to the highest of standards and go to incredible efforts to verify our sources, and that's also why we stand behind everything we published.

Ad Kan's claims, on the other hand, are all over the place. Their argument is a classic straw man: saying we claimed IDF soldiers buried a Palestinian alive, then saying that soldiers they interviewed refute that. But no one ever said the man was buried alive. All they had to do was read the testimonies we published in full to know that. They also claim that GoPro footage from the incident disproves our testimonies. The video — which we ourselves used while researching the incident — shows just a segment of the events, and in no way disproves anything in the soldiers who testified to us said. On the contrary, it strengthens the atmosphere of fear and tension described in our testimonies.

The bigger picture is that Ad Kan and their enablers on the right (including highly influential politicians) are using these and other absurd claims to turn human rights groups into scapegoats for the ICC's recent decision to investigate Israel. Ad Kan have sued us several times in the past. Their mendacious claims have been thrown out at every level of Israel's judicial system, including the Supreme Court. And as if that wasn't enough, this is the same organization that was caught fabricating 'evidence' of sexual harassment in an attempt to segregate bus lines in the occupied territories (see article in the comments).

The biggest threat to the pro-occupation camp is opposition from people who saw and experienced it - hence the constant attacks on us by the right. But none of their attempts will succeed. Because as long as the occupation exists, there will be people who speak out against it. ·
