The vast settlement project after 1967, aside from being grossly unjust, has been self-defeating and politically ruinous. "We've fed the heart on fantasies,/the heart's grown brutal on the fare," as William B. Yeats put it almost a century ago in a similar dead-end situation in Ireland. The settlement project has not provided more security but less. It may yet, I tremble at the thought, lead to results far more terrible than those we are now witnessing.

La risposta: «Sì ma il sindaco sta con Abu Mazen, negazionista dell’Olocausto» iltempo.it     Gigi De Magistris proprio non riesce a piacere a nessuno dei suoi concittadini, nemmeno rispolverando uno dei cavalli di battaglia più abusati del politically correct: l'antifascismo. Eppure la comunità ebraica di Napoli e Casapound c'è una frattura praticamente insanabile. Le relazioni sono praticamente inesistenti e nessuna diplomazia è mai riuscita ad avvicinare due mondi agli antipodi. Solo l'avversione verso il sindaco ha compiuto questo miracolo. Sono numerosissimi i gruppi che compongono la Diaspora ebraica. Tuttavia gli Ebrei italiani, gli Italkim, rappresentano un’eccezione unica e con una grande storia. Spesso si sente parlare di due categorie di Ebrei: Ashkenaziti e Sefarditi . Alcuni alludono anche a un terzo gruppo, i Mizrahim , per indicare gli Ebrei che vivevano in quei territori che oggi sono Iraq, Siria, Yemen, Iran, Georgia e Uzbekistan.
